So, Holika took Prahlad and Lohri to sit down inside the fire. Also, the fate was with Prahlad, they burned Holika in fire but Prahlad and Lohri survived.

    The festival of Lohri involves simple rituals with high symbolic meaning. Let’s know about the ritual for the festival and understand Lohri significances.

    1.      Lighting a bonfire during the festival and inviting people from nearby places to participate in the major ritual of Lohri.

    2.      People take blessings and abundance from the Lord Sun by lighting a bonfire.

    3.      People assemble in a circle around the bonfire while they offer the fire Lohri festival food popcorn, peanuts, Gajak, til, and jaggery as an offering and take blessings.

    4.      People exchange grains and jaggery with each other as a symbol of sharing love, blessings, and happiness.

    5.      Also, people sing traditional folk songs by singing and dancing around the bonfire.

    6.      People also chant special prayers that say “Aadar Aaye, Dilather Jaaye” which means that all negative energy, poverty, and hurdles go away and all positive energies and prosperity attract them.
