1. Bathing: It is a ritual to take a bath in the holy Ganga River on this day. If this is not possible then mix ganga water in regular water and bath at home at Brahma Muhurat.
2. Mantra chanting: Chant Mantra "Om Namo Gangayai Vishwaroopini Narayani Namo Namah" while taking a bath.
3. Ancestor worship: Offer water to ancestors by the riverside to satisfy their souls.
